As a student studying in China, Chinese
phones such as Xiaomi and Huawei are familiar to me. It was just time to change
my phone, after researching and speaking with some people about choosing a new
phone, I got a new one: the Huawei Ascend P7.
There were many reviews or comments on
Chinese and English websites, but there are only a few posts about that phone
on Korean websites, so it was not easy for me to get some information.
Also, because of the new law about buying
and selling cell phones, many people started looking for various phones, and
Chinese phones were expected to be bought by many people with their high
cost-effectiveness.
In fact, in Korea, it was reported that
recent sales of Xiaomi phones exceeded that of Samsung. Because of this, Korean
people now know about some Chinese phones. Regardless of favorable comments
about the good quality of Chinese phones, by the reason of origin, many people
still hesitate to use Chinese phones. So I’d like to review my new phone simply
and briefly to help those who are interested in Chinese phones, especially in the
Huawei Ascend P7.
1. Provides Korean language and Korean
keyboard
With updated OS, you can use Korean
language and a Korean keyboard. It is completely the same as Korean phones made
by companies like Samsung or LG. This is basic, but at the same time, must be
one of the most important things for us.

2. LTE available
Before getting the new phone, I was trying
to decide between the Huawei Ascend P7 and the Xiaomi 4. Xiaomi 4 is cheaper
and the news mainly reported about this, so I was really curious, but the one
of the biggest reasons why I chose Huawei Ascend P7 was that LTE available on
this phone. Moreover, it provides dual SIM cards slots, so 3G is available,
too. It can be a great options for both of 3G and 4G users.
3. Good camera
My sister and mom often take photos with my
phone. They really like the camera function, saying they will buy this when
they change. The P7 has 13MP on the primary camera, and 8MP on the secondary
camera. The camera also has a quality adjustment function. For example, when
you take a selfie, it automatically calibrates to eliminate blemishes such as
wrinkles and adjust the light. This magical camera function makes this phone
loved by women all over the world.
4. High quality, half price of the same specifications
I actually don’t understand the
specifications, so I asked some of my friends who knows about phone, and they
said its specification is similar to that of the iPhone5. However, the price is
half that of iPhone5, at about $400 (based on Jan. 2015). $400 can seem
expensive, but if you get this phone, you will not regret it.

5. Light-weight & strong battery
It is bigger than iPhone5, but it is thinner and lighter. I was unsatisfied with the speed at which the battery was used up when I used iPhone, but the P7 has a strong battery. It also has its battery embedded like the iPhone series does, but I could use it for full one day without recharging. Also, the P7 has a power saving function, it gives you up to 24 hours standby on just a 10% charge.
This review is not based on specifications
or objective data, but is based on my own opinion and experience. However I
hope it is helpful for those who prefer subjective assessments. When choosing a
phone, customers showed be open to new brands, not just limit themselves to
brans like Samsung, LG or Apple.
